2006 1st prize at Pogson Bray
April - The band entered the Pogson Bray and came away with a First Prize and Best Hymn Prize.
April - was a busy month which saw the band playing in a two joint concerts. The first was at Emley Church with Shelley Music Schools Big Band and the second was with The Innovate Skelmanthorpe B Band with guest Brett Baker, principle trombone from Black Dyke. And for fun the band also had a day at Alton Towers to blow some cobwebs away.
2006 also saw the band in a new formal uniform with white shirts and navy bow ties topped off with navy blue waistcoats and the bans logo embroidered in silver. The first outing for the uniform was the summer concert, as you can see below, they looked very smart indeed. The next outing was at the Boarshurst Band Club where they were invited to entertain the regulars with an evenings music.
