2002 - SYB Loses Over Eighty Years Of Experience!
February - SYB win the Mrs Sunderland Competition in Huddersfield Town Hall.
July - The band plays once again at the Shelley Gala - and for the first time at the Brighouse Gala.
July - The Summer Concert sees the loss of over eighty years of service to the band as so many senior players leave to go on to higher education.
July - The band enter the digital recording age by making a CD entitled ‘25’ to mark the forthcoming 25th Anniversary. Sponsorship is kindly provided by CDL Lifts Ltd.
November - Honley Remembrance Parade.
December - The band shows the real depth of its talent by a superb performance at the SYB Annual Christmas
