Winning at Slaithwaite
2001 - A Highly Successful Year for SYB
February - The band takes part in the National Brass Band Festival at Salford University.
July - SYB plays in Music For Youth at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
July - Overseas once more as the band goes on tour to Holland.
September - As a special ‘thank you’ for the hard work this year, the band have a day off and spend it enjoying themselves at Alton Towers.
September - Nick and Julia get married!
November - The band leads the proceedings at the Honley Remembrance Parade.
November - The band takes top honours at Youth In Brass
