Nick Dolling joins SYB as Musical Director
1997 - ALL CHANGE AGAIN
March - Music For Youth auditions, and still a place in the National Festival eludes the Band. Also that month members of the Band are invited to give a short 'concert' at Turnshaws Special School, which is enjoyed by both sets of students.
July - Nick Dolling is appointed as M.D. A tuba player, Nick who is originally from Devon moved to Huddersfield to attend University 4 years ago.
Plans start to take shape for the Band's 20th birthday celebrations the following year.
Dominic Kippin is commissioned to write a piece of music to celebrate the Band's anniversary.
A trip to Paris is organised for July 1998, and it is decided to hold a Reunion Concert.
